To all Club members please get behind Shaun as a former junior player of the Rupertswood CC in his endeavour to raise $16000 to buy a Electric Sports Wheelchair. Shaun sporting ambitions were dashed at the age of 10 when he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. The diagnosis explained some of his struggles at sport, but it did not stop him participating, as he continued to play cricket and his wily slow bowling helped him top the bowling averages at Rupertswood CC in Under 12 in the 2009/2010 season.
He played 11 games that season and bowled 17 overs, 2 maidens and took 7 wickets for 33 runs @ Ave: 4.71, He also made 32 runs with 7 not outs @ an Ave: 8 with the bat. The GDCA also presented him with a special Bowling Award that season for his efforts.
Shaun is representing Victoria at the National Electric Wheelchair Championships in balloon soccer , wheelchair hockey and wheelchair rugby league
Join his family, friends and the Rupo CC, funraising campaign to buy Shaun a $18,000 American model Strike Force Wheelchair.
