Rupo U/16 Gold to host B Division Grand Final

Our U/16 Gold team takes on Sunbury in the B Division Grand Final this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday morning at the Rupertswood Main Oval.

Good luck to first year coach Lachlan McLean plus all players participating and let’s get as much support there as possible in our Rupertswood colours to support the boys in their quest for premiership glory.

Go Rupo!

Rector’s Team get the chocolates!

A fantastic day again had by all in the 6th Annual President’s X v Rector’s X,where Fr.Peter Monaghan’s team took the points and the trophy in another ‘nail biting’ encounter to level the head to head score at three all.

The match was played in warm conditions and brilliant sunshine with 24 overs played prior to and after the luncheon break.

Outstanding performances from Luke Neill and Matt Simpson for their respective teams with Anthony Galea taking out the coveted broken stump award for a ‘spectacular’ display of fielding near the boundary.

Special thanks to our caterers,Howard and Jenni Beer who prepared a sumptuous BBQ lunch together with Jamie Rolfe and Mick Lamb who assisted with bar duties on the day.

It was great to see a number of past players back at the club and thankyou to all participants and guests for your contribution to the event.

We hope to see you all back again next year but also at regular intervals throughout the cricket season back at the Stump.

Vale-Jeffrey Travers

On behalf of our committee, players, members and supporters of the Rupertswood Cricket Club we extend our deepest sympathies to Peter,Sonia,Harry and Jay on the sudden and sad passing earlier this week of their beloved brother,brother-in-law and uncle, Jeffrey Travers.

For a long period of time, the Travers family have been and remain an integral part of the Rupertswood Family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their extended family at this difficult time.
